Job Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Application Support Technologist is a key member of Production Application Support and Triage Team. This position will act as a Tier II technical resolution point person for various complex system, application, data analysis related issues and a liaison between the Customer Support Center (CSC) / Field Staff and the IT Services group. Interested candidates must possess the following levels of experience in order to be considered:

REQUIRED:

Experience with creating, modifying and updating SQL queries and data changes is a must.
Experience in supporting web-based application software and/or healthcare experience in a data/process analysis role
Familiarity with administrating all components of the Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 server operating system family including Com+, MSMQ, and IIS.
Strong prioritization skills in a fast paced, time sensitive environment are required.
Excellent analytical, multitasking, and communication skills (both verbal and written), detail orientated and familiarity with testing and troubleshooting techniques.

DESIRED:

Previous programming experience with .Net, XML, VB6, and Visual C++ is a plus.
TIBCO experience is highly desirable.
B.S. degree in Computer Technology/Science or related degree.
A wide range of various computer technology classes within the degree is desired.
MCP, MCSA or other relevant certifications are desirable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data, system and application analysis in a Tier II role.
Client helpdesk ticket resolution at a Tier II role.
Monitor and react accordingly to various application irregularities.
Monitor, investigate and remediate any application related process failures.
Escalate and/or involve other resources as needed to insure the highest level of client satisfaction.
Provide on-call coverage after hours on a rotating basis.
Work an eight-hour shift between the hours of 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
