Job Description:

This is a 6 month contract-to-hire opening with a prestigious financial service client sitting in the Jersey City/NYC location.

Overall PMO responsibilities include:

Planning

Work closely with department managers and staff, technologists, and internal and external stakeholders to understand information needs related to projects

Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, timeframes, funding limitations, priorities, staffing requirements, and allocation of resources

Support project estimation and planning by Technology departments, including scheduling and budgeting

Organizing

Identify stakeholders, assemble and guide project teams through the New Initiative Approval Process, client's initiative governance process

Establish, prepare for, and lead cross functional team meetings

Prepare meeting agendas, distribute meeting documents, direct attendees during the meeting to cover agenda items, confirm assigned tasks and deliverables, take and distribute meeting minutes

Managing

Develop and maintain program and project plans and manage project tasks and dependencies

Track issues, risks, and action items from formulation to completion

Lead / direct project team members throughout the project lifecycle to assure required project quality and progress

Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team and among competing projects

Proactively negotiate, document, authorize, and manage change in project scope, timeline, quality and budget

Manage external vendor relationships, expectations, and deliverables

Executing

Define and review program scope, successfully plan and track multiple projects encompassing numerous cross-functional areas

Define and lead financial management for the program, including tracking and vetting each projects financial performance

Track program actuals against defined milestones and revisit the overall plan as and when necessary

Track and report all interdependencies between multiple projects
