Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Network Administrator (Cisco - Voice) in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will work in conjunction with the Connectivity Manager, PMs, Network Architects, Regional Analysts, and will require interaction with the global IT community.

Summary:
*Responsible for building and maintaining an expanding global network and voice infrastructure
*Responsible for troubleshooting, testing, implementing, administering, and supporting the enterprise network throughout the region
*Increase network availability and provide upgrades to network and voice infrastructure
*Daily maintenance, resolution, and / or configuration of network devices (LAN and Voice)
*Ensure ability to recover failed network components through creation of redundancies, backups, processes and procedures
*Documentation of work within the network, including diagrams, standards and procedures, performance monitoring, and network availability and security
*Work with users, vendors, and other network engineers to support existing customer connections, and provide pre and post installation support
*Maintain and participate in testing an existing business continuity /disaster recovery plan, and identify operational needs and requirements of users to adjust the infrastructure for optimal user satisfaction
*Use standard corporate tools to record change and problem activities for tracking
*Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems through ticketing system
*Perform root cause analysis; make recommendations for corrections / improvements
*Provide L2 / L3 support for connectivity forward incidents to administer / engineer / architects when necessary

REQUIREMENTS:
*IT graduate with 3 + years of operational experience in networks or voice (CCNA or CCVP preferred)
*Cisco networking skills, knowledge of supporting systems within large scale organizations and good knowledge of telecom infrastructure (LAN / MAN / WAN)
*Customer centric and service oriented, a team player that works effectively with the global team
*Experience with global infrastructure and willingness to learn new technology
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, technical writing skills, and documenting abilities
*Fluent in English
