Northrop Grumman Information Systems Sector is seeking a Systems/Test Engineer to join our team of qualified individuals. The position will be located in Herndon, VA. The position is in support of a program that involves both new software development, transitioning functionality from legacy applications to web-based applications/services, and O&M support related to mission critical systems. The engineer will work with the customer to identify and clarify requirements, create user stories, identify system dependencies, and schedules. The individual will also develop and tailor software test plans, procedures, strategies, and schedules to perform verification and validation. Position duties include preparing information for customer meetings, creating and refining user stories, sprint planning, creating schedules, and software validation. The engineer will be required to work on multiple applications and/or deliveries during each sprint to accommodate delivery schedules. Systems engineering and testing will be applied to small and highly complex computer systems or portions of large integrated systems. The individual will work as part of a team designing, developing, testing, and maintaining systems. Additionally, the Engineer will provide some user support, to include investigation, resolution and reporting of assistance and system discrepancies.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 9 years of direct experience with all aspects of systems engineering and testing TS/SCI w/Polygraph Clearance
Experience with all aspects of the software life cycle Experience testing Web applications Experience with Agile Development Methodology Excellent problem-solving ability Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects developed and deployed simultaneously Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
