Job Description:
We’re looking for a Director of IT that really understand the needs, future and present, of a dynamic, growing and evolving marketing agency. We’re interested in someone with a strong background in System Admin that can lead a small team in maintaining and overseeing a complex IT environment. The ideal candidate would set priorities and identify key areas for workflow improvement while embracing and advocating for new and emergent technologies. Great communication skills, high emotional intelligence and a service-oriented perspective are important criteria.

We have three divisions, on-air, design and print, and offer our clients a wide range of marketing opportunities and services. We’re located in the Miracle Mile of Los Angeles.
Technical skill set:
Seeking a candidate well versed in UNIX OS’ including Linux and MacOSX with a strong knowledge of Windows AD administrations and GPO required. Has a solid grasp of networking, routing, firewalls, IPS, VPN, security protocols and proxies.
Requires working knowledge on VMware VSphere and ESXi administration. Experienced in configuring and troubleshooting large storage environments including Isilon NAS and other NAS. Has experience with Amazon Web Services and ability to administer IAM and services.
Understands the media entertainment space and has basic knowledge of software used in the creaton of video, graphics, VFX and print work including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, C4D, AVID, Maya and Quicktime. Experience dealing with render farms and specifically Deadline.
Ability to administer cloud based email.
Basic Knowledge of Avaya phone systems.
Core infrastructure technologies:
MacOSX, Vmware ESXi, Linux, Windows, pfsense, Sonciwall, NAS4Free, HP, Force10, Isilon, Archion, Avaya,.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining FTP and External Portal
- Maintaining Internal Storage and Server
- Maintaining Network switches and
- Maintaining Backups, restoring when needed
- Oversee Archiving
- Adding new services to improve workflows
- Maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting software, upgrading, etc
- Administering email
- Administering Active Directory
- Managing department that includes both full-time and part-time staff
- Auditing Security
- Administering Cloud Services through AWS
