Position: Senior Oracle Developer

Location: Jersey City (101 Hudson)

Duration: Long-term Contract

Job Description: Participates in design, development and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements. Contributes to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions. Develops prototypes of the system design and works with database, operations, technical support and other IT areas as appropriate throughout development and implementation processes. May lead multiple sub projects with competing deadlines. Serves under minimum supervision as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to regulatory and compliance initiatives or operations. Typically 5-10 years of application programming, design, and architecture experience as well business analysis and solution experience, specializing in AML, Economic Sanctions within a financial institution.

Required Job Skills:

Computer Science/Engineering degree; or equivalents with minimum 4 years proven and progressive experience in the financial services industry

Extensive experience developing, designing and developing enterprise grade software solutions and customizations in Oracle related products

5-7 years of extensive experience in Oracle, Java, JavaScript, Apache, SQL, WebLogic, Linux, UNIX, Autosys Experience with Web Services (SOAP, XML, etc)

Proficiency in writing SQL queries, in both RAD & Agile methodologies Highly analytical with ability to synthesize/troubleshoot data and research findings to make recommendations

Computer proficient in MS Office suite;

Advanced excel skills strongly desired

Understanding and experience in Object-Oriented and Service-Oriented Design principles.

Understanding and experience with IDE/build tools (Eclipse/Jenkins/Maven/Hudson/svn/git/Gradle etc).

Desired job Skills:

Experience in Informatica, Actimize , EDQ/OWS is a plus

Strong knowledge of Compliance, Banking, Anti Money Laundry (AML) and/or Economic Sanctions principles within a financial institution Experience handling Data Quality or Case management vendor products is a plus
