RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a fast growing client in Vancouver, Washington (WA) that is seeking a MySQL DBA.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implementation, and administration of database for production and nonproduction environments; MySQL instances including Oracle MySQL, MariaDB, and Percona tools
* Monitoring, Security, Backup of Databases
* Availability, Scalability and Performance of Databases
* Closely monitor database performance and provide suggestions for improvement
* Monitor data integrity and perform/monitor sanitation processing
* Assist in troubleshooting production and development issues
* Maintain and create required scripting in existing environments
* Research and implement new tools and technologies that improve our database infrastructure and processes
* Provide on-call support and willingness to work with a 24x7 offshore support team

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of hands-on database administration experience on MySQL databases deployed on Linux, covering installation, configuration, patching, testing, supporting and upgrading
* Broad experience with the MyISAM Engine
* LAMP experience
* Proficiency to read/write: shell scripts, Perl, PHP, MySQL stored procedures, triggers and events
* Proficiency in analyzing and tuning complex queries
* First-hand/direct experience implementing highly available and fault-tolerant MySQL database solutions
* Experience with MySQL replication technologies
* MySQL administration and support experience including backup and recovery, replication, performance tuning, and monitoring
* Experience with documentation of standard procedures, architecture, design and deployments
* Prior support experience with the application stack connecting to the MySQL database back-end
* High availability for On-Call and After Hours support as needed
