RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Database Analyst in San Francisco, California (CA).

Description:
The Senior Security DBA will be working as part of a team of DBAs. The ideal candidate will be working in collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, build, upgrade, and modify security related aspects of database systems and operationally administer new or existing databases in support of critical enterprise applications. The candidate will focus on database security primarily for Oracle, SQL Server and potentially DB2 databases.

Responsibilities:
* Analyzes data security requirements
* Writes extensive scripts to implement security hardening and compliance
* Collaborates with DBAs and works with them to implement database security recommendations
* Participates in evaluation and selections of data security solutions
* Implements and manages data security processes, procedures and solutions
* Keeps informed and informs team on data security best practices
* Creates, supports and administers Oracle relational databases
* Performs hands-on administration of databases, related tools, processes and operations in large OLTP and batch environments
* Ensures proper design, implementation, performance, availability, security, auditing and capacity management of related database systems
* Function independently with minimal oversight and direction

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems related field
* At least five years database experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Experience working in a team which delivers a highly available environment supporting large project development efforts 24 x 7 onshore and offshore is desired
* Familiarity with SDLC, Data Modeling, ITIL concepts and practices is required
* Proven Experience as DBA in Oracle and MS SQL Server; DB2 and Netezza is a plus
* Unix Shell Scripting and Perl Scripting skills are highly desirable
* SQL expertise is highly desirable
* Knowledge and supporting experience in Database encryption, auditing and logging is desired
* Understanding of Database Design and Data Modeling concepts
* Experience in Oracle user management, roles, privileges, audit and security
* Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks and similar security standards
* Healthcare experience and experience supporting Facets applications is highly desirable
* Strong verbal and written communication skills required
