Currently seeking a Senior BI Solutions Architect for its business in Columbus, OH

JOB SUMMARY

Lead the development of the entire business intelligence (BI) solution stack, including the database, ETL, and application layer using multiple toolsets. Is a key player in multi-functional and multidivisional teams and serves as the primary liaison, mediator, and translator between the BI analyst staff and the BI production team. The Principal is a recognized industry expert in BI and uses deep understanding of the business and its information along with expert level understanding of available BI technology options to recommend the appropriate reporting solution. Help monitor and ensure a highly available and scalable BI environment is in place.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Hypothesizes, creates, reviews, analyzes, and evaluate ideas to develop BI solutions company wide

* Collaborate with BI Solutions team to convert functional requirements into technical solution designs

* Serve as expert advisor and technical leader to BI development staff

* Creates architecture data models

* Oversee the technical aspects of all BI and report development, whether onshore or offshore

* Design, build and validate that all BI reports and/or dashboards fulfill requirements as defined by the

senior level executives

* Monitor performance of the BI application layer, ETL programs, and data warehouse to ensure high

availability and data validity

* Investigate production data anomalies and provide explanations and/or solutions

* Work effectively with a geographically dispersed BI team which may sometimes require non-standard working hours

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensure that all developed objects meet the naming standards defined by the BI organization? Assist power users with the development of complex queries and analysis

* Coordinate with admin team to ensure successful deployment of all BI and database artifacts

* Direct and participate in the creation of ETL programs to effectively and efficiently move data into the data warehouse

* Ensure desired behavior of developed ETL programs through robust validation and testing

* Oversee and manage job schedules for all ETL objects

* Coordinate as appropriate with the other tenants in our shared BI environment

* Coordinate with Corporate IT for issues related to BI environment, system performance, and deployment activities

INTERACTIONS:

Executives, Corporate BI staff, managers and supervisors globally within Network Power, BI & Reporting Team, Enterprise Architecture staff, and IS/IT Management

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience with large-scale Oracle BI projects using Agile and waterfall methodologies

* Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking

* Strong leadership and organization skills

* Sound judgment and decision making

* Excellent troubleshooting skills

* Results driven

* Hands-on experience with Oracle 11g database

* Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerDesigner

* Hands-on experience with OBIEE 11.x.x.x

* Experience in mentoring/guiding a development team

* Familiarity with OBIA 7.9.6.4

* Advanced skills in SQL

* Advanced performance tuning skills, particularly within an Oracle databaseBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Associates degree or military certification with two years directly related experience, or of 5 years directly related experience will be held equivalent to educational requirement.

* At least 10 years of experience developing software applications which would include at least 3 years of experience working with OBIEE and Oracle 11g
