This person will perform all duties on site at the Customer location in Minneapolis, MN.
This position requires someone with a solid understanding of Trend Micro Deep Security and operating principles. The ideal candidate will have at least one year working in an environment utilizing Trend Micro's Deep Security product for VMWare servers and/or other Trend Micro products such as Office Scan and Mobile Security. This person will also have a solid understanding of the reasons for and principles behind file integrity monitoring, HIDS/HIPS, web application protection and host based firewalls. The successful candidate will also have good communication skills and will provide a high level of security expertise to the Company while working in a complex distributed IT environment spanning multiple countries.
Role Responsibilities
-Work with Company staff and others to determine the strategies and goals for the VM security program and provide recommendations to management on the status of the program
-Work with the IT management to determine which functionality; file integrity monitoring, intrusion detection and prevention, web application protection, application control, bidirectional stateful firewall will be deployed
-Act as Subject Matter Expert for VM security in general and Deep Security specifically
-Monitor all configuration changes made to any VM security application in the environment
-Develop a process for evaluating and modifying the security settings on the VM security appliances on a regular basis
-Configure and Support the VM security tool for the full suite of functions required by Company
-Implement tool functionality in accordance with Company security Procedures
-Work with appropriate company staff or representatives to develop processes and policies around
host remediation
-Continuously monitor industry trends in VM security tools and recommend to Company appropriate technologies based on business requirements
- Manage the VM security tool including
-Maintain a solid understanding of VM principles and architecture so as to advise Company
-Keep management informed of trends and changes in the functionality or maintenance of the VM security tool
-Create scheduled reports for management showing the health of the VM Security program
-Troubleshoot all technical issues and serve as a central point of escalation for intrusion alerts
-Ensure that the software maintenance is up to date and applies to the appropriate number of instances
-Ensure that signatures are kept up to date
-Ensure Firewall rules adhere to Company guidelines and standards
As a managed security provider, Dell SecureWorks expects its employees to understand and apply commonly known security practices and possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected to acknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access to company systems. Employees will be required to maintain a working knowledge of local security policies and execute general controls as assigned.
Requirements
-3-5 years of Enterprise-level experience with Trend Micro or similar antivirus products (McAfee or Symantec)
-Strong understanding of Security in Depth in general
-Strong understanding of Host Security specifically
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferences
-At least one year of experience working with Trend Micro Deep Security or Office Scan
-Trend Micro TCSP certification
-Microsoft certification(s)
-Bachelor's Degree
-Understanding of ITIL standards
-Experience gained through working as an IT consultant.
-Experience acquired through working in a large IT organization
