Senior Front-End Web Developer Direct Hire job in Cambridge, MA
Our client in the has an immediate opening for a senior Front-End Web Developer. The senior Front-End Web Developer will work to build reusable global widgets and UI components for web sites. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating well-architected user interfaces and is well versed in JavaScript (plain-old and with frameworks), PHP, and SQL. Must be fluent in current best practices for responsive and accessible design.
Skills and Responsibilities:
• Performing multiple front-end developer functions, with good understanding of UI design processes and workflows
• Produce clean, cross-browser, accessible front-end code to coordinate with back-end developers for implementation
• Effectively communicate front-end specifications to tech leads, developers, product owners, and other team members
• Bridge the gap between excellent UI design work and compelling front-end code interactions
• Define and execute on schedule
• Supports new technology as needed. Responsive/adaptive design desired.
• Concept and communicate development ideas
• Thorough understanding of contemporary interaction design aesthetics
• Personal accountability for the technical accuracy of own work
• Ability to complete tasks independently, or as part of a team
• Ability to manage deadlines and production scheduling on numerous, concurrent .
Technical Skills:
• Strong coding proficiency with HTML/CSS, jQuery, javascript, PHP.
• Ability to code from scratch as well as follow templates
• Considered expert in the field with specialization in JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, CSS/HTML, HTML5 and creative solutions
• Clear understanding of user interface design, interaction design, information architecture, and user experience design for the Web and mobile devices
• Experience with Web and mobile design production workflows
