RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client located south of downtown Cleveland, Ohio has a direct hire opportunity for an Application Developer. The primary role of the Application Developer is to translate the solution design into a technical design and implement that in the target solution/application. This is done through the review, analysis, and modification of application systems including the coding, testing, debugging and installation to support the organization's applications.
Responsibilities:
* Read and understand the business requirements and solution design
* Translate solution designs into a technical design and implementation
* Analyze and evaluate present or proposed business procedures or problems to define data processing needs
* Proactive and diligent in identifying and communicating design and technical issues
* Responsible for collaborating with the Business & Systems Analyst to resolve gaps between the business requirements and design specifications
* Develop high-level and detailed solution design and implementation documentation
* Create release and roll-out and roll-back procedures
* Write and maintain technical documentation
* Document system problems and resolutions for future reference
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration
* Select among authorized procedures and seek assistance when guidelines are inadequate, significant deviations are proposed, or when unanticipated problems arise
* Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related disciplines or equivalent work experience required
* 3+ years of life-cycle application development experience required (SDLC)
* Must have 3+ years applications development experience with C# / .Net, ASP.Net, SQL / Oracle Database, Object Oriented Programming
* WCF, WPF, Entity Framework and NHibernate experience a plus
* Extensive knowledge of computers and operation systems, to include configuration and connectivity
* Ability to plan, implement, test, troubleshoot, and develop solutions for operational problems
* Ability to determine the nature of operational problems and develop solutions for repair
* Demonstrated knowledge of programming logic and codes
* Previous experience working with computer flow charts
* Ability to adhere to security procedures and protocols
* Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assignments
* Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights and weekends, in response to the needs of the systems being supported
