Job Description:

Dell Solution Centers (DSC) Solution Architects are responsible for the customer engagement functions pertaining to one or more of Dell's technology domains.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role which requires experience in architecture, engineering and the validation of complex IT systems.

Responsibilities include:

* Customer engagement and performing technical briefings, leading architectural design sessions and proofs of concept.

* You will work with customers, product management, and sales to translate marketing solution definitions to corresponding architecture definitions, prototyping/POC, configurations, and testing/validation.

* You will also work with technology partners and customers to evaluate and incubate new technology and develop solutions for customer use cases.

* This role is customer facing and requires the ability to engage with the customers via Technical Briefings, Architectural Design Sessions and Proofs-of-Concept. (You must have strong customer presentation and whiteboarding skills)

* This role also requires strong technical, written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on the execution and delivery of superior solutions to the marketplace.

* Broad IT expertise and knowledge of solutions development, components and architectures.

* Solid industry context and desire to keep up w/ technology trends.

* Architect experience within large environments especially with enterprise technology offerings

* Ability to perform a wide variety of technical and administrative duties in overall systems design, development, and delivery.

* Demonstrate extensive creativity and expertise in information systems discipline.

* Strong analysis and communication skills and the ability to resolve complex technical problems.

* Advanced documentation/presentation skills - you will present routinely to customers, sales leaders, and other architects.

* Willingness to develop deep knowledge of Dell offerings and toolsets.

* English Fluency.

* Ability to interact effectively with internal and external contacts (account management, deployment team, Solutions Architects, partners, and vendors).

* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

* You must have significant expertise with virtualization including VMWare, Hyper-v or Xenserver.

* You must have some knowledge of private and hybrid cloud environments and be willing to become an expert in one-premise cloud technologies such as VMWare vRealize and Microsoft Private Cloud Infrastructure.

* You must be willing to ramp on enterprise security and be able to present to customers on enterprise security topics.

This role is based in on site in Round Rock, TX and may require occasional travel within Dell Customer Campus / Remote sites.
