Our Fortune 500 Hardware client is looking for a Test Technician to construct, troubleshoot and test prototype assemblies and prototype systems.

• Experience with Windows, VMWare, and Linux

• Some storage background is preferable

• Experienced in test execution and defect logging

• Background on test automation (Python or PERL scripting)

Will work from developed test plans and written or verbal instructions. In addition, will independently construct, troubleshoot, and test prototype assemblies as well as assist engineers in test phase of prototype systems.

*Design verification:
*Perform design characterization on all client-designed products.
*Analyze characterizations for violations of known specifications, potential violations, and overall signal integrity.
*Propose and implement fixes for any known violations.
*Troubleshoot and repair systems to the component level.

*System validations/support/test:
*Set up, configure, and test prototype systems and software.
*Perform specified test plans.
*Perform functional tests and analyze newly developed systems to ensure operation and reliability.
*Assemble and disassemble prototype systems as necessary.
*Track prototypes throughout the development test cycle.
*Experience with server storage technology, including PCIe, SAS and RAID is preferred.
*Research and learn new technologies and procedures to remain current with industry standards and new products.
*Assist other technicians in completing assigned tasks.
*Set up and calibrate electronic test equipment and maintain in working condition.
*Assist engineers in completing special projects.
