Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client, a well known technology firm based in New York, New York (NY) that is currently seeking a Java Software Engineer. This client has strong professionals that range from expert curators to seasoned Internet executives from the web's most prominent entities.

As a Java Software Engineer, the candidate will:
* Contribute to a small team designing and developing a services platform
* Leverage caching, messaging and asynchronous processing
* Contribute to the design of a new database schema
* Implement end-to-end ecommerce solutions
* Analyze and assess business requirements, choose the right tools and libraries to implement solutions
* Work closely with a fantastic product organization to envision and create solutions that delight their existing customer and attract many new ones

REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to bring intellectual curiosity and thoughtful opinions with everyday
* Experience developing consumer-facing websites in professional production environment a plus
* Experience developing code for high-traffic web sites
* Ability to troubleshoot and explain performance bottlenecks
* Know that mule and tomcat aren't just animal names
* An appreciation for one-of-a-kind items such as furniture, art and jewelry always welcome
