Our direct client is looking for a Storage Test Engineer - Austin, TX Job ID (6836)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Candidate will be in 100% test Lab environment. Will write, review and execute test cases, identify and document defects or product mprovements and support other test and development functions as required. Create, evaluate and execute test cases for an Enterprise Storage level clustered NAS project. Requires ability to work within a fully-networked test lab environment and be able to perform basic system configuration and deployment tasks, evaluate requirements to create new test cases and execute them per briefed schedule milestones. Requires the ability to document product defects, limited system debug and utilization of appropriate test tools. Test case creation/execution, documenting test case results/failures, basic hardware/software interaction knowledge.

Minimum 4 years of Linux and Windows Operating Systems experience.

Proficient with using Linux CLI commands. NAS/SAN storage experience is desirable.

Must Have skills:
1) Enterprise Test Experience(i.e. the testing of storage or servers and their peripherals.
2) Network troubleshooting
3) Server and Storage troubleshooting experience. Storage arrays experience (i.e. EMC arrays, Network appliance arrays, etc. b. Storage protocols such as CIFS, NFS, FC, and iSCSI
4) Familiarity with Windows operating systems
5) Strong written/oral communication skills

2) Microsoft Certification
