Work with business owners to understand objectives & key initiatives and transform these into product roadmaps, business and functional requirements, as well as technical specifications.
Work with user experience designers to coordinate & incorporate visual design, prototyping, wireframes, task-flow modeling, and information architecture into the specifications.
Take ownership in driving product and new feature development through every stage of the software development lifecycle.
Work closely with development and test (on/offshore) teams to design technical solutions and provide detailed specifications that satisfy scalability, reliability, and performance goals.
Effectively manage trade-offs between cost/schedule versus customer benefit.
Work cross functionally to drive the implementation of new products and features as well as resolve operational issues

Required Skills:

Client is looking for a self-driven, user experience focused Technical Product Manager to join the Client’s team focusing on the Car line of business. On this team you will define innovative solutions seen and used by millions of users per day on Client’s flagship sites. As a TPM on the team, you will work with several key decision makers to execute on the strategic vision in the car rental space. Together with other TPMs, developers, testers, and various disciplines, you will be responsible for delivering Web-Based solutions that have a direct, material impact on the overall success for the world’s largest travel agency!

Requirements:

Self-starter, accustomed to working in a changing environment who enjoys and takes pride in technical solution delivery.
A high degree of creativity and innovation with a proven track record in working on complex and ambiguous programs.
Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Experience building and managing business requirements and turning them into detailed technical design specifications.
Experience with Service Orientated Architectures.
Familiarity with eCommerce web platforms a plus.
Experience in Rapid Application development methodologies - agile, scrum, etc. preferred.
Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in a team environment.
Proven track record in handling multiple, complex projects/releases and keeping track of details of each project in parallel.
Ability to ramp up quickly on any type of new technology (from hardware to software infrastructure to core Client technology).
Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills and listening skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to varying audiences.

Qualifications:

5-7+ years of experience working in software delivery as a product/program manager.

BS or MS, in Computer Science or a related engineering field
