ROLE: Senior Python Developer
LOCATION: Central London
START: ASAP
SALARY: £50-80,000 per annum
My financial client, based in Central London, are looking for a talented Python Developer with a strong mathematical mind-set to join their growing team.
The company, with various global bases, provide solutions to financial firms.
They are looking for a senior engineer to join their London team. It is crucial you are a self-motivated self-starter as you will be expected to hit the ground running upon joining. The role is also partly client-facing, so communication skills are key. You must have proven experience in delivering high-impact projects.
Essential Sills:
Object-oriented development in Python 3
Distributed messaging (ZeroMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
WebAPIs and knowledge of RESTful designs
SQL queries (MySQL, SQL Server)
Unit testing/mocking frameworks
Design patterns for testability
Multithreading/asynchronous programming
Desirable skills:
Strong C# (ideally .NET 4.5) with a server-side focus would be ideal
Computer Science / Maths / Physics / Engineering or similar quantitative graduate
Unix-based platforms
Cloud (AWS or Azure)
Docker
Git
NoSQL
Ansible or awareness of similar automation engines for DevOps
Agile
Financial services experience (SWIFT/FIX)
