Job Description:
Java Developer Central London to £65k+++
Java Developer / Software Engineer / Programmer (OOP Java C# .Net Python Algorithm). Massively profitable Hedge Fund based in Central London is seeking a passionate technologist with a broad range of object orientated software skills (most development done in Java, C# GUI with Python also used).
This is a varied and challenging role in a fast paced company, as a Java Developer you will design, develop and implement trade / execution algorithms, real-time price feeds, order management, position reporting and reconciliation with brokers and other third parties. You’ll interact directly with the business, working with quants, brokers and back office staff and will gain valuable knowledge of financial / trading systems.
You will be working in a small, Agile type team with a great deal of autonomy. “Non-corporate” working atmosphere (informal dress, sociable), based in the heart of London.
Requirements:
Smart, analytical, logical – having achieved 2.1 or above from a top tier university in Computer Science or highly numerate subject, must have a good understanding of mathematics and algorithm development
Strong object orientated core Java development
Genuine enthusiasm for technology and producing clear, concise, well written code
Excellent communication skills
Desirable: C#, Python
No finance experience required, training provided
