Job Description:

The hiring manager seeks a mid level Java developer for production support and enhancement of the AMS (Accumulator Management System). This position is NOT for development of a front end or web application.

A primary responsibility will be support and enhancements of the GMC (GetMemberCounter) weblogic service. The position will also support the AMS processes and interfaces that are written in Java/SpringBatch.

AMS is a collection of applications, interfaces, and processes that manages financial and benefit counters (deductibles, max out of pocket, # PT visits, etc.). AMS is used by internal and external users and processes to inform members and providers about the state of counter utilization via the GMC service. AMS also supports exchange of counter information between HPHC and a number of external and internal adjudication systems. These exchanges are required to ensure that each system is taking into account the counters that have been created on other systems. For example, if a member has a deductible of $1,500 and claims are processed on 3 systems then each system must take into account the deductibles on other systems so the member is not charged more than $1,500 in total.

The AMS system uses Oracle RDBMS extensively. The developer must have Oracle and stored procedures/PL/SQL experience. The developer will work with business users to develop statements of problems and requirements. The developer tests develops and configures solutions and corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming standards, and controls. Must be able to work independently to complete tasks.

The position includes on call support.
