Job Description:

Northrop Grumman Information Systems (IS) - Maritime Combat Systems is searching for a Production Supervisor to support the development and low rate production efforts for both legacy and new development U.S. Navy hardware production programs. The successful candidate will be assigned a variety of tasks associated with leading and supporting our entire Production team. This candidate will have responsibilities for Receiving, Stores, Production Control, Material Requirements Planning, Manufacturing Engineering and Production and Test. Our Production team's skill sets and disciplines include, Electro-mechanical integration and testing, Cable manufacturing and testing, light machine shop, IUID, packaging and Materials Requirements Planning through SAP. The successful candidate shall be: Well versed in SAP requirements being entered into the system beginning with the creation and characterization of Material Masters, demand loading, scheduling, requisition processing and tracking, capacity analysis, material receipts and good movements, work order execution. Responsible for capturing relevant production data to understand those results and institute process improvements. Experienced in SAP/MRP structuring Lead time adjustments (Cycle time / processing time) and validation, procedure creation and updates, Work instruction development, process improvements, metrics creation and monitoring and statistical data creation and analysis. Designs, develops, implements and maintains test processes and diagnostic programs for system testing and checkouts. Responsible for factory specifications and procedures for new and legacy products and processes. Works with internal and external Engineering teams to determine systems requirements and translates those requirements into Production documentation for a seamless transition into MRP/SAP (EBOM/MBOM) Participates with Program Management in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal controls and the overall reliability and certification of products in the execution of programs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science Degree in a Engineering, Math, or Computer Sciences related field with 6-13 years of relevant experience. 5 plus years of experience may be substituted for the Degree requirement US citizen with ability to obtain a secret Clearance

* Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications

* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; effective analytical and problem-solving skills; effective organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and plan work

* Must be a self-starter and a "team player" able to perform well within a demanding and dynamic environment

* Proven and successful leadership skills

* Ability to move/lead people in the direction aligned to the goals and objectives of the program

* Champion of change and Process Improvements using proven methods and statistical analysis
