Job Description:

A client of TEKsystems is actively looking for a Senior Web Developer for a 6-month contract to hire.The permanent salary offer will be based on performance. The succesful candidate should have web development experience with a concentration on the Javascript/HTML/CSS technologies. The preference is someone who has exposure to Ecommerce projects in the past.

Reporting to the Web Program Manager; you will make your mark on a broad variety of web software development activities including defining, developing, testing, analyzing, and maintaining software applications in support of business requirements.

Your key focus will be to provide support and enhancements for the global corporate website; including writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.

Top three skills include:

1) At least 5+ years of development experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS

2) 5+ years of expeirence working both independently and in a small team (4 people), technical and non-technical stakeholders

3) 3+ years of experience working in a test driven development environment

Other key job requirements include:
*College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering or equivalent.
*At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
*At least 5 years of user interface development experience.
*Required: Excellent CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript expertise.
*Fluent in current best practices in front end architecture design.
*Fluent in the concepts of automated testing and test driven development.
*Desired: Experience with Hybrid Mobile App development is an asset.
*Desired: Experience with EXT.js and Sencha Touch is an asset.
*Desired: Experience with Liferay Portal content management system is an asset.
*Desired: Experience with YUI3 or AngularJS is an asset.
*Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
*Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
*Experience with Subversion or a similar versioning tool.
*Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
*Strong written and oral communication skills.
*Strong interpersonal skills.
*Keen attention to detail.

**Mobile experience is a major bonus as their mobile application is in the making. Having experience developing both iOS and Android is a bonus as this resource can contribute to both rbauction.com and the mobile application**

The Opportunity
*Collaborate with other developers and Project Managers to maintain, enhance, and create new functionality on enterprise web applications.
*Implement fully visualized screens provided by our design team, conforming to our front-end development standards.
*Work closely with architects, front-end developers, back-end developers and database developers in conceptualizing and developing high performing web systems.
*Analyze and assess existing systems, networks, and procedures as they pertain to application solutions.
*Work with the systems integration and operations teams to transition software into a production environment.
