RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Senior AWS Solutions Architect to join their team in Washington, DC. This candidate should have a strong understanding of large scale computing solutions. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a systems or support engineer. This candidate will enjoy keeping existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, to can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. This candidate will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS.

Duties:
? Participate in Network Architecture analysis and environment redesign along with the Engagement Manager/ Project Manager
? Share best practices and be consultative to clients throughout duration of the project
? Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements
? Document and Complete a Technical Design Documents like: configuration management, operational SOPs, and Topology diagram
? Co-team with the Technical Architect to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements
? Provide current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document
? Lead the UAT efforts
? Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts in concert with the Engagement Manager
? Participate and lead, when needed, project meetings with the customer
? Participate in internal projects as required

REQUIREMENTS:
* Certified Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect
* Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in Cloud technologies and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
* Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast moving environment
* 7+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications
* 5+ years experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
* Familiarity with common enterprise services (Directory Services, Information Assurance, Virtual Desktop, etc.), products (i.e., Oracle, SAP) and frameworks (ITIL)
* Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS

Skills Preferred:
? Experience with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation and load (ETL) tools
? Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs
? Knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business constraints
